Cityscapes and perspectives
Cities are spaces created for people, and the presences of their current and past inhabitants, even in their absence, permeate the walls and streets with their soul and their distinctive character, as the genius loci grows a soul of its own, with which to converse like a living person. The space framed can be empty, but the soul is yet tangible.
I get my love of architecture from my mother. Contemporary architecture is a vortex of elusive perspectives created by unusual, big-thinking minds. I love to find less conventional viewpoints from which to observe it, thus sometimes I regret not having the classic framing of the famous monument on file. Sometimes, while wandering around, I come across combinations of curious objects and situations that provoke me strange associations of ideas, which I can't help but capture, laughing. It's what I love most about street photography, oddities in broad daylight.
